Garden App Color Concepts I

One reason I want to teach myself programming is to bring the element of time into my artwork. In the Garden App, the first function I designed for it was to change the scene to match the user’s real-world time of day. Eventually, I’m hoping to extend this to seasons, as well.

While I was learning how to do this in code, I started knocking out these quick color concepts to explore different moods, color strategies, and rendering styles- even getting a little practice in with Procreate, which I was still relatively new to.

The paintings were a little all over the place at this point- the next step would be to finally bring them together into something more cohesive.
