About Stephen Galgas
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Stephen is a mixed media artist currently living in Oakland, CA.
His ongoing project, the Limerence series, seeks to bring musical qualities into the visual realm through abstract videos projected onto large-scale glass screens. Having previously worked in the animation and multimedia industries, his work incorporates elements of illustration, graphic design, and computer animation.
Stephen is a graduate from the Columbus College of Art and Design (Time Based Media Studies, 2001). He currently teaches as adjunct faculty in the Visual Development department at the Academy of Art in San Francisco.
